Gov’t announces road closure in Accra ahead of Farmers Day celebration.

In anticipation of the yearly National Farmers’ Day (NFD) celebrations on December 1, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture has declared that roads leading to the Ministerial enclave in Accra will be closed._

The Principal Streets of Parliament House, Independence Square, the John Evans Alta Mills Court Complex, and the National Theatre will all be impacted by the Ridge Roundabout.

The event will include a 5-Day Agricultural Fair called “Agrifest Ghana 2023,” running from Monday, November 27 to Friday, December 1st, 2023.

To ensure compliance with the restriction, the Ministry recommended users of the impacted road to find alternate parking locations and routes in a statement released by the ministry.
