Katie Price faces criticism for auto tuned track released alongside Taylor Swift

Katie Price's new single is compared to AI as Taylor Swift drops new music

Katie Price’s return to music has sparked a mixed reaction, with fans criticising her new single for being heavily auto-tuned and difficult to understand.

The 47-year old former glamour model released her latest track, Best of Me, on Friday marking a renewed attempt to relaunch her pop career.

The song, which features a guest verse from rapper lady Ice, has not landed well with all listeners. Some took TikTok to express disappointment, comparing the sound to something generated by artificial intelligence and noting that the lyrics were hard to make out.

Taking to TikTok, fans wrote: ‘Haven’t worked out what she’s actually saying in this.’

‘You can’t really make her voice out. Anyone can make a song like this with all the special effects.’ ‘What is she actually saying? I do not understand a word’… ‘No real singing, all music tricks.’

My hearts hurt read bad’..’ AI is amazing…’.. Career ending move right there.’

Meanwhile, the song received a positive feedback from some of Katie’s fans.

‘They wrote: ‘So catchy…’ I love this song, Katie P is awesome…’ Good on her, she so deserves this moment.’

‘She’s had a lot of help here but hey it sounds OK. Well done Katie.’… Chill guys! She knows that she’s not a pop star, she’s just having fun.’

Katie had teased the release earlier in September by sharing a photo of herself recording in the studio.

The single dropped on the same day that global sensation Taylor Swift also released new music-though the contrast between the two artists did not go unnoticed by fans.
