Sofia Vergara reacts to ‘Modern Family’ costar Eric Stonestreet’s wedding
The 'Griselda' actress says Eric Stonestreet is planning 'a big party' to celebrate with his castmates

Sofia Vergara couldn’t be happier for her former Modern Family co-star Eric Stonestreet he begins married life with Lindsay Schweitzer.
The Hollywood star, 53, reacted to the news of Stonestreet’s September nuptials while talking to People magazine on the set of her new Skechers campaign.
“I’m super excited for him,” Vergara told the outlet in an interview published November 10.
The America’s Got Talent judge further admitted that after the Modern Family series finale aired in 2020, the cast “kind of got separated because we finished, and two weeks later, they closed everything for COVID.”

On September 9, Stonestreet, 54, announced he tied the knot with his longtime love Lindsay Schweitzer in a home wedding. “It’s my birthday and guess what I got,” he captioned a series of wedding photos on Instagram.
Stonestreet’s Modern Family husband Jesse Tyler Ferguson extended his congratulations in the comments section, writing, “I love you both! I’m so happy for you!!!!”
Though it is not clear whether Stonestreet’s longtime TV family attended the nuptials, Vergara tells People that Stonestreet is planning “a big party” for the entire cast to come together and celebrate.
The Griselda actress recently received another engagement news; her ex-husband Joe Manganiello — who filed for divorce in February 2024 after seven years of marriage — got engaged to Caitlin O’Connor.
Meanwhile Vergara is more excited about taking new risks in her career. She told People, “I’m seeing what is out there for me. I think I want to do movies, maybe a big movie like Dune or one of those really big blockbusters would be really fun. I’ve never done anything like that.”
