Nicole Kidman hints at struggles following 19-year marriage end
Nicole Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, shortly before speculation surfaced about Keith Urban’s alleged connection to guitarist Maggie Baugh
Nicole Kidman has suggested she is still working through emotional challenges following her split from Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage.
The actor, 58, shared a brief update on her well-being during a conversation with Ariana Grande for Interview Magazine, published Monday. When Grande asked how she was doing, Kidman replied, “I’m hanging in there.”
However, Kidman admitted she felt specifically “very safe” while filming the sequel to her 1998 film Practical Magic over the summer, just before news of the breakup emerged.
She credited her castmates, including Sandra Bullock, Joey King, and Maisie Williams, for creating an emotionally calming environment. “We had an incredible cast… I felt protected and loved. It was just very, very safe,” she said, noting that film sets can often be emotionally draining.
In September, sources confirmed the couple had decided to end their marriage. According to those close to the situation, the relationship had “run its course,” though Kidman reportedly hoped to work it out.
The pair had been living separately since early summer, with Kidman caring for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Kidman filed for divorce on September 30. The filing came shortly before speculation surfaced about Urban’s alleged connection to guitarist Maggie Baugh, who is significantly younger.
