UEFA has drafted a 10-page list announcing prohibited items for fans going to the Stadium for the matches of the EURO 2024 including fruits.
The list of banned items includes flares and political messages. However, the standout banned items are fruits.
In a bid by Germany to boost sausage sales, bringing fruits to the stadium would attract a punishment of being banned from attending the rest of the tournament.
According to UEFA, all food is expected to be seized at one of three security checkpoints outside all 10 Stadiums. However, the supporters’ guide singled out fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges, etc” while not including any other specific items.
Fans who require medical care would be allowed to bring healthy snacks but they must notify the stadium authority in advance to seek permission.

Fans will also be banned from smoking and vaping from the grounds, while Cannabis will also be forbidden in stadiums.
Flares, fireworks and whistles are also on the banned list, alongside megaphones and vuvuzela horns.
Nazi flags will also not be let into the stadium, as well as materials supporting either side of the conflict in Gaza.
This will be the first time Germany has staged the UEFA European Championship since reunification.
