Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has parted ways with the club, despite guiding them to an impressive run in the UEFA Champions League.
Terzic, who led Dortmund to the Champions League final in the 2023-24 season where they narrowly lost to Real Madrid at Wembley, reportedly requested the termination of his contract with immediate effect.
In a statement, Dortmund confirmed they had agreed to Terzic’s request following discussions with the club’s senior management.“After the game at Wembley, I asked for a meeting with the club’s senior management team, because after nine years at BVB – including six on the coaching staff and two and a half as head coach – I feel that the club’s new era should begin with a new man on the touchline,” Terzic explained.
