The queen of the Asato Traditional Council in the Kadjebi-Akan district of the Oti Region, Nana Serwaa Bonsu has called on investors to take advantage of its rich resources.
According to her, the area is known for its abundance of cocoa, timber, and ginger. With the recent discovery of iron, it has become a prime location for investment opportunities.
“Asato has the potential to become a key player in the region’s economy,” she stated.
Speaking at a durbar during the coronation ceremony of Osaberimba Osei Bonsu V as the new chief of the area, Nana Serwaa Bonsu highlighted the potential for growth and development in the area, stressing the need for investors to tap into the resources available.
She expressed her belief that with the right investors, Asato could become a hub for economic activity and create opportunities for the local youth.
The queen pledged to support any investor looking to attract more business to make Asato an industrial hub.
Nana Serwaa Bonsu reminded the youth of the importance of peace ahead of the December polls, urging them to use their voices and votes to make a positive impact on their communities instead of resorting to violence.
The new chief of the area, Osaberimba Osei Bonsu V, called for urgent attention to be given to the lack of water and poor roads in the community.
In his address to community members after his coronation ceremony, he highlighted the importance of these basic amenities for the well-being of the residents.
Osaberimba Bonsu urged the youth to stay away from violence ahead of the December general elections.
He stressed the need for peaceful participation in the democratic process.
