Besiktas considers selling Daniel Amartey

Just a year after arriving at Besiktas on a free transfer, Daniel Amartey has been listed for sale with eight other players, as per reports in Turkey.

Among the eight others are Vincent Aboubakar, Jean Onana, Valentin Rosier, Omar Colley, Javi Montero, Arthur Masuaku, Ersin Destanoğlu, Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Ante Rebic.

Amartey had limited game time last season, featuring only 18 times for the Turkish team as they finished sixth, 46 points behind champions Galatasaray.

Although the 29-year-old has two years remaining on his Besiktas contract, he has fallen out of favor after not appearing in the last matches of the season.

Besiktas aims to revamp their squad to compete for titles again, which necessitates selling the mentioned players beforehand.

Having won the Turkish Cup, Besiktas will participate in next season’s Europa League qualifiers.

Before his move to Besiktas last summer, Amartey spent seven years at Leicester City.
