SUAMAN DADIESO FIRE OUTBREAK DESTROY ITEMS WORTH THOUSOUND’s OF CEDIS

Parts of the Suaman Dadieso market in the Western North Region have been destroyed by fire. Items worth thousands of cedis were destroyed. Onua News’ Emmanuel Sowah visited the fire scene and has more in a report.

The fire outbreak on Sunday destroyed many goods and shops worth thousands of cedis. The Fire destroyed eight shops at the Suaman Dadieso market. However, it is not clear yet what started the inferno.

Some of the affected shop owners speaking to Onua News said their items included bags of rice, beans, millet, clothes, sewing machines, and many more. They expressed worry that the entire district with a population of eighty thousand people has no fire service station.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Suaman Dadieso, Philip Kwabena Boahene disclosed Sunday’s incident happened for the third time in the district since he resumed office. Adding that items worth thousands of cedis were lost to the fire outbreak.

 

Philip Kwabena Boahene said the assembly is in the process to establish a fire service station in the district to rescue victims of fire incidents.
