You Have Given Us Hope And Confidence To Write The BECE _Atiwa West BECE Candidates Emotional Message To AWUAH Dankwa

The CEO of Marketicons Group of Companies, Mr. Samuel Awuah Dankwa has received heartfelt praise from students in the Atiwa West District of the Eastern Region for his BECE Talk Series and Tour in the area.

The upcoming 2023 BECE will see around 1,580 students from Atiwa West District participating, with the exams commencing on Monday, 6th August.

Mr. Samuel AWUAH Dankwa’s initiative, called the ‘BECE Educational Talk Series,’ involved touring all the schools to motivate the candidates to prepare diligently for the examination to achieve outstanding results.

His four-day tour which began on Monday covered all JHS schools in Akyem Asamama, Akwabuoso, Akrofufu, Muoso, and Bomaa.

On Tuesday, 1st August 2023, Mr. Awuah Dankwa gathered all the candidates at Kwarbeng, the District Capital, inside the Presby Church, where he offered valuable advice to hundreds of students, encouraging them to continue studying hard to achieve excellent grades.

In this effort, he was supported by the District Education Director, John Kwasi Osafo, the District Coordinating Director, parents and executives and members of the Awuah Dankwa Education Foundation, who were instrumental in organizing the exercise.

Addressing the students, Mr. Samuel Awuah Dankwa, the founder of the foundation, an entrepreneur, and a philanthropist, shared his inspiring journey, revealing the challenges he faced during his early schooling years in the same environment.

He recounted how he lived far from school and had the responsibility of ensuring his grandfather’s favorite meal, fufu, was served to him every morning before attending school. Despite hailing from a poor background, Mr. Dankwa persevered and excelled in his basic exams.

During the tour on Tuesday, he visited candidates at Ekorso, Abresu-Wekpeti, Akwadum, Awenare, and Akyem Banso. As a gesture of support, each of the 1,580 students received Maths sets, pens, pencils, and stipends for T&T.

Mr. Awuah Dankwa shared a heartwarming story. His mother had once told him, “My son, you are my only child, and I have no property to leave behind for you. This small cocoa farm could be taken away by the family when I am no more. Therefore, the most valuable thing I can give you is education. If you’re willing to study hard, I’ll do whatever it takes to support you, even if it means selling my last dress.”

Mr. Awuah Dankwa took his mother’s advice to heart and focused on his studies. His determination paid off when he passed his exams and earned a spot at Legon PRESEC.
Throughout his secondary school days, he remained dedicated to his studies and achieved excellent results. He was the top student in Agricultural Science across the entire nation during that time for the SSSCE (now WASSCE).

After successfully graduating from the university, he worked with various companies. However, he eventually decided to establish his businesses, and with the grace of God, he now owns four different companies that employ hundreds of people.

Mr. Awuah Dankwa understands the importance of education and knows that the students present during his talk are likely facing their first important examination. He urges them to take it seriously and pass with flying colors.

He also reminds them not to let their current family challenges hinder their educational aspirations. He reassures them that even though he can’t personally support all of them, other kind-hearted individuals are willing to do so. He has personally funded some of their colleagues who graduated last year to pursue further education in various schools.

The key message Mr. Awuah Dankwa imparts to the students is simple – success lies in passing their examinations and doing well. With dedication and hard work, they too can achieve their dreams and make a difference in their lives and those of others.

Speaking with some of the candidates, they expressed deep appreciation towards Mr. Samuel Awuah Dankwa for his generous and thoughtful actions.

Many of them mentioned how the provided items would be immensely beneficial, especially because their parents couldn’t afford to purchase them. One candidate also pointed out that some of their peers lack the motivation to focus on their studies and excel in the exam due to a lack of hope in furthering their education.

However, the BECE Educational Talk Series has served as a source of inspiration, igniting their spirits and encouraging them to perform well in the upcoming exam.

Furthermore, the BECE Educational Talk Series tour took place today, Wednesday, 2nd August 2023, benefiting candidates from Abomosu, Sankubenase, Nkurakan, Amonom, and Akakom.
Tomorrow, Thursday, 3rd August 2023, the series will conclude with candidates from Larbikrom, Pameng, Akropong, Tumfa, Asunafo, and Abrenya also experiencing the enlightening exercise.
