Does Justin Bieber need Hailey Bieber’s Rhode sale for Scooter Braun debt?
Hailey Bieber's Rhode sale, rumours say, may have helped in Justin’s $31.5 million debt
Hailey Bieber is addressing recent speculation involving her husband Justin Bieber and a reported financial dispute with his former manager, Scooter Braun.
In a statement shared with the Daily Mail on July 17, Hailey’s rep clarified that the $1 billion sale of her Rhode Skin brand had nothing to do with Justin’s business matters.
“The historic sale of Rhode is a huge accomplishment for Hailey,” her rep stated, “and is completely separate from her husband and his business affairs.”
The comment comes after reports suggested that Justin delayed settling a $31.5 million financial agreement with Scooter until after Hailey’s major business deal was finalized, implying she might help cover the cost.
The reports claimed Justin owed Braun unpaid commissions and an advance related to the cancellation of his 2022 Justice tour.
While Justin has not made a public statement about the reported agreement, he did show support for Hailey’s success when her Rhode Skin brand was sold to e.l.f. Beauty in May.
He marked the milestone with an Instagram post, sharing a photo of Hailey and a screenshot of the press release, along with a heart emoji.
That kind of encouragement from Justin is something Hailey has acknowledged before.
Back in April, while receiving the Beauty Innovator of the Year Award at the Daily Front Row’s 9th Annual Fashion Awards, she said, “I want to thank my husband for supporting the dream of mine from the beginning and for always cheering me on.”
Hailey will continue to play a major role at Rhode, staying on as Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation, while also working as a strategic advisor to e.l.f. following the acquisition.
