The Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana is planning a nationwide strike.

The Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana (MOWAG) has notified six government establishments that on November 29, 2023, it will embark on a countrywide walkout. Among the organizations are the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, the National Labor Commission, the Ministries of Finance, National Security, Employment and Labor Relations, and Health.

MOWAG stated that they had previously voiced their concerns and searched for a solution in a press release distributed on Monday, November 20, and signed by General Secretary Richard Kofi Jordan. On Wednesday, November 22nd, the aforementioned institutions got the news release.
