Committee set up to investigate the death allegations by the Forestry Commission task force.* 

The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, George Mireku Duker, announced the formation of a commission to investigate the deaths of two brothers at Mfante in the Ashanti Region._

Abdul Samed Razak, 35, and Hashmil Usman, 25, were allegedly shot and killed by a Forestry Commission security task force on November 11, 2023, at a community mining site in Mfante.

Justice has been demanded ever since by the mother of the dead man.

The family is in mourning, but Mr. Duker has told them that the government will do all in its power to make sure the guilty are brought to justice.
