Former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini has urged President Akufo-Addo to take action against the acquisition of state asset by Bryan Acheampong.
Speaking in an interview on TV3’ Keypoint, Mr. Fuseini implored President Akufo-Addo to not be silent over the sale of the SSNIT hotels.

He questioned how the Agriculture Minister, Bryan Acheampong acquired such huge wealth to be able to fronting to purchase the 60 percent of SSNIT Hotels valued at sixty-one million dollars.“The President should be worried that my cabinet Minister who has occupied various positions is now too rich that he is going to acquire state asset but the President set that example himself by committing state resources to rehabilitate the land in front of his house,” Mr. Fuseini noted.
North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto was the lead convener of the Hands Off our Hotel protest which took place on Tuesday, June 18 to demonstrate against the sale of 60 percent of SSNIT Hotels.
The Legislator has been a frontier in opposing SSNIT’s decision arguing that Bryan Acheampong, cabinet member cannot acquire state asset.He has thus petitioned President Akufo-Addo to take action on the matter otherwise a series of protest will take place across the region.
The Organised labour, minority MPs and some individuals joined in the protest to register their displeasure with SSNIT’s decision to sell the hotels.
