Amma Busia, member of NPP’s Council of Elders dead.

Amma Busia, the former first vice-chair of the New Patriotic Party and sister of the late Kofi Abrefa Busia, who served as Ghana’s prime minister in the Second Republic, has passed away._ Madam Amma Busia, who until her death was a member of the NPP’s Council of Elders, is said to have died yesterday (Tuesday 12 December 2023) after a short illness. Confirming the death of Amma Busia to Asaase News, her son, Obeng Busia, said she died peacefully in hospital at the Nyaho Medical Centre, Accra, in the early hours of Tuesday (12 December). She was 87.
