Ben Affleck opens up about the challenges of dating, acknowledging that it’s a tough journey for anyone—particularly in the early stages of a new relationship.
While promoting his upcoming movie, The Accountant 2, the Oscar-winning actor shared his relatable experiences with dating after his divorce. He connected with his character, Christian Wolff, saying, “Here’s a guy who wants to connect with a woman but is lost on how to make it happen.”
Affleck, 51, continued, “He struggles with the art of flirting, feeling uncomfortable, just like many of us do.” He reflected on the confusing signals that come with dating, admitting, “What does this look mean? Are they interested in me? Should I approach them or will I embarrass myself?” He emphasized that figuring this all out is definitely “not easy for anyone.”
These candid remarks come just three months after his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. The pair famously rekindled their romance in 2021 but decided to part ways in 2024 after two years of marriage. While there were whispers of a short-lived romance with Kick Kennedy last summer, Affleck is currently just “casually dating” as he navigates the singles scene once more.
