Detectives in South Africa have arrested a 41-year-old man for attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm with ammunition.

The man allegedly shot his 18-year-old son while cleaning a firearm._ The incident occurred last December, and the father is set to appear before the White River Magistrate’s Court.

The Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, provided information about the incident, describing it as absurd.
