‘Never Been Kissed’ actress gives a glimpse into her health on her eponymous talk show

Drew Barrymore has recently opened up about her breast cancer scare on her talk show.

The Never Been Kissed actress shared a glimpse into her health worry during latest episode of Drew Barrymore Show on November 3.

Drew was in conversation with Tig Notaro, who is a comedian and breast cancer survivor, and told her that doctors expressed concerns after she had a “bad mammogram”.

Charlie’s Angels actress revealed that she was pushed to undergo an “emergency biopsy” in discussion with mother-of-two Tig.

“This was the thing I wanted to risk talking about on this show because I recently had a scare,” said the 50-year-old.

Drew mentioned that she’s “completely fine” but she had a “bad mammogram” which is why she was taken into that room for emergency biopsy.

“I waited those five days,” continued the 50 First Dates actress.

Nevertheless, Drew got emotional after she talked about her health scare.

Elsewhere on the show, the Blended star asked cancer survivor Tig about her own diagnosis and how she made peace with herself.

Tig, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and had been in remission since 2013, admitted, “It cracked me open completely.”

“I went from being somebody that held everything to myself. I was gonna do it on my own,” she told Drew.

Tig added, “It is the greatest gift you can give yourself and the people that love you because people want to help. People want to do good and it, it changed my life.”

Meanwhile, Drew added that Tig produced the documentary, Come See Me in the Good Light, about poet Andrea Gibson’s terminal cancer diagnosis.
