Duchess of Edinburgh spotted enjoying moments at Wimbledon

Duchess Sophie was seen enjoying games with Denmark’s King Frederik at Wimbledon on Monday as they arrived at the royal box on Centre Court.

The Danish monarch and the Duchess of Edinburgh were photographed enjoying a brief catch-up in the VIP area, with Frederik visibly amused during their conversation.

The two stunning royals took their positions in the front row of the royal box to watch tennis stars including Novak Djokovic, Emma Navarro and Jannik Sinner compete.

The royal pair have encountered each other at several significant occasions over the years. Prince Edward’s wife looked gorgeous in a crisp white blazer by Altuzarra for the for the afternoon’s tennis.

She added fabulous gold jewellry and Hollywood-style shades as she watched the match, looked incredible in her chick outfit.

Frederik had also attended Wimbledon on Sunday, watching the match between Chile’s Nicolas Jarry and Britain’s Cameron Norrie from No. 1 Court. The monarch appears to have made the trip to London without his wife Queen Mary.

Monday was a busy day for blonde royal. Earlier, she was spotted at St Paul’s Cathedral alongside her husband Prince Edward to mark the 20th anniversary of the 7/7 terror attacks.

Edward and Sophie, who held the titles Earl and Countess of Wessex at the time, were guests at Frederik’s wedding to Australian-born Mary Donaldson in Copenhagen in May 2004.

On July 9, Queen Camilla arrived to attend the tenth day of the Wimbledon Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London after a glittering night at the France state banquet.
