Egypt Sherrod Jokes About “Mid-Life Crisis” As She Opens Up About Major Life Changes
Television personality and real estate expert Egypt Sherrod has sparked conversation online after joking that she may be going through a “mid-life crisis” while considering a bold personal change.
The 49-year-old former HGTV star shared the update in a recent video posted on Instagram, where she revealed that she is thinking about getting her first tattoo. Sherrod said she has never had any tattoos before but now feels ready to take the step.
In the video, she playfully suggested the idea might be connected to a mid-life moment of reflection, saying she is unsure what is driving the urge but feels excited about the change. Sherrod explained that she already has a design in mind and would like to get a phoenix rising tattoo, which would wrap around her waist and extend up her back.
The television personality also asked her followers to recommend skilled tattoo artists, adding that she is willing to travel anywhere to find the right person for the job. She told fans that she plans to document the experience and share the journey once she finally gets the tattoo done.
Her lighthearted revelation comes at a time when Sherrod appears to be entering a new chapter in her career. Her popular HGTV show “Married to Real Estate,” which she co-hosted with her husband Mike Jackson, was cancelled in 2025 during a wave of programming changes at the network.
Despite the setback, Sherrod has hinted that new opportunities may be on the horizon. In previous social media responses to fans who said they missed the show, she teased that something new could be coming soon and described the situation as a redirection rather than an ending.
Sherrod’s comments about possible life changes have resonated with many fans, who have responded with encouragement and curiosity about both her tattoo plans and her future projects.
