Election 2024: ‘Mahama will be worse, Bawumia disastrous’ – Ayariga

Hassan Ayariga, founder and leader of the All People’s Congress (APC), has asked Ghanaians to reject the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections.

He says the two parties have been given the opportunity to rule Ghana for many years but have failed, indicating that the APC is the only hope to rescue the state.

During a press briefing with the media in Accra Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Mr. Ayariga noted that the policies being professed by candidates of both the NPP and NDC are not the solution to the problems of Ghana.

Rather, he says the country needs a leader that will champion a revolution to drive home development like himself.

Talking about the Vice President’s digitalisation drive and John Mahama’s 24-hour economy, Hassan Ayariga stated that those two policy proposals have nothing tangible to offer the country.

He maintained that Ghana will be the worst place to live if either of the two candidates is voted for in the December 07 elections.

“I stand by my words that John Mahama will be the worse president should he win power again in December but Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be disastrous,” he reiterated.

John Mahama’s 24-hour economy proposal seeks the whole or part of the architecture of the economy adjusts to support 24-hour operations of businesses, factories, government services, restaurants, shops, healthcare delivery, banking and other services throughout the day and night.

With his intention to provide utility incentives for businesses who would opt to roll out the policy to employ more staff, Mahama Ayariga says it will not provide any solution for the state.

He also says the Vice President’s vision of digitising the nation is not the antidote to Ghana’s plummeting economy.

He rather wants government to ban importation and concentrate on local production as a solution to the economic challenges.
