The 14-year-old is very well-loved and celebrated by her parents and siblings, and now she returned the favour with a priceless gift for her dad, with some assistance from the British monarch himself.
In a feature published in Country Life magazine – which was guest edited by David – the former athlete revealed that in the run-up to his 50th birthday, Harper kept saying that she got him “something that money can’t buy”.
He shared that there was a special scented rose made in his name, Sir David Beckham Rose, which is white like England football shirts. David Austin Roses will launch the flower at next year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

“I was so emotional when she said there was a special rose being created for me,” he said. “I’ve always loved roses. We have them around the doors. They are a patriotic symbol of England and I’ve sent so many to Victoria during the 28 years we’ve been together.”
He added, “What Harper has done for me is incredible. I have planted a circular rose garden so that I can grow my rose at our house in the Cotswolds.”
Earlier this year, in May, the King had sent ten large flowerpots of the flowers in full-bloom. The two were also seen sharing a chat in which Charles had asked David if he received the present.
The former footballer appeared visibly moved by the gesture, noting that it was wonderful. In collaboration of with The King’s Foundation, David Austin Roses will be putting it for sale in the next flower show and the money from the sale of each plant will go towards the foundation.
Sir David is also the ambassador of the King’s Foundation.
