Sheryl Underwood Explains Where Her Relationship With Sharon Osbourne Stands After Their Feud

Television host Sheryl Underwood has opened up about her long running feud with Sharon Osbourne, revealing that despite their past conflict, she still believes there is affection between them.

Underwood addressed the situation during a recent appearance as a guest host on The View. Reflecting on the controversy that erupted during their time together on the talk show The Talk, she explained that while the dispute became very public, she still holds positive feelings toward Osbourne.

According to Underwood, the fallout began in 2021 during a heated on air discussion about racism and comments made by British television personality Piers Morgan following Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. During the debate, Osbourne defended Morgan’s remarks, which led to an emotional exchange between the co hosts and sparked widespread backlash.

The controversy eventually led to Osbourne leaving The Talk after more than a decade on the program. The show itself later ended in 2024 following its cancellation.

Despite the intense disagreement, Underwood revealed that she still feels a connection with Osbourne and believes there is “some love” between them. She also disclosed that she attempted to reach out to Osbourne after the death of her husband, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025.

Underwood explained that she did not leave a voicemail when she tried to make contact because she worried it could be misinterpreted or shared publicly. Instead, she chose to remain quiet rather than risk creating additional misunderstandings or conflict.

The television host also admitted that there may have been things both women could have handled differently during the incident. However, she said she intentionally avoided escalating the argument publicly because she did not want viewers to see women in media constantly attacking each other.

Although the two have not fully reconciled, Underwood’s remarks suggest that the door to healing their relationship may still be open. She indicated that their complicated history includes both painful moments and genuine respect built over years of working together.
