Kelly Clarkson Confirms Her Talk Show Will End After Seventh Season

Singer and television host Kelly Clarkson has announced that the long-running daytime series The Kelly Clarkson Show will conclude after its seventh season, bringing to a close a successful seven-year run on NBC. Clarkson shared the news on her social media account on February 2, 2026, explaining that the decision to end the show was deeply personal and focused on prioritising her family at this stage of her life.

Clarkson wrote that she feels “extremely fortunate” to have worked with the employees, band members, production team and crew members who have helped make the programme a daytime staple. She thanked the show’s fans for their support and expressed pride in the many memorable moments that defined its seven seasons. The host described choosing to step away as “not an easy decision,” but one she believes is necessary as she enters a new chapter.

In her announcement, Clarkson said that ending the daily schedule will allow her to prioritise her two children, River (11) and Remington (9), whom she shares with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who passed away in August 2025. She stressed that the decision was not about leaving the spotlight entirely. Clarkson said fans should not see this as a full goodbye, noting that she plans to continue making music, perform occasionally and may appear on The Voice in the future.

The show’s seventh season is set to continue airing through fall 2026, with plans for special guest hosts to appear throughout the remainder of the run. Clarkson’s daytime series has been recognised with multiple awards and has been praised for its heartfelt interviews, celebrity guests and popular segments like Kellyoke.
