Khloe Kardashian Says She Felt Like She Was ‘On Thin Ice’ During Life With Ex‑Husband Lamar Odom
American media personality Khloe Kardashian has shared honest reflections about her past marriage to former NBA player Lamar Odom, saying at times she felt like she was “on thin ice” as a result of their relationship. Her comments come in the recently released Netflix docuseries Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, where she discusses the pressures and challenges she faced during their time together.
Kardashian explained that while married, she had limited control over decisions involving their reality TV exposure. She said scenes from their spin‑off show Khloé & Lamar were largely influenced by Odom’s desire to create more television content, not her own creative choice, which left her feeling uncertain about how her life was being portrayed in the public eye.
She noted that she was cautious about participating in the show because she worried it might harm her family’s reputation and brand, especially since the Keeping Up with the Kardashians franchise already had multiple spin‑offs on the air at the time. Those concerns, she said, made her experiences during the relationship especially stressful.
Khloe and Lamar married in 2009 after a short courtship and were together for several years before eventually separating. Their reality series aired for two seasons but was later cancelled as their personal lives became more complicated, including struggles Odom faced with addiction and health issues.
In sharing her story, Kardashian has highlighted the emotional toll that certain dynamics in their marriage took on her, while also offering insight into how public and personal pressures intersected during that chapter of her life.
