Kylie Jenner Explains How She Landed Her Role In The Moment Film

American reality star and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner has opened up about how she secured her first movie role in the satirical film The Moment. In a recent Instagram video interview with singer Charli XCX and director Aidan Zamiri, Jenner revealed that she did not wait to be cast but actively asked to be part of the project. This candid account gives fans a look behind the scenes of her transition into acting and how the opportunity came about.

Kylie, who plays a fictionalised version of herself in the film, explained that the idea first came up while she was on a flight with Charli XCX and Zamiri. During that conversation she told them she believed in the project and enthusiastically asked to be included, saying “put me in the film” to her collaborators. Director Zamiri recalled that Kylie wanted to push herself beyond her usual comfort zone by trying something new.

Despite her long experience in front of cameras from reality television and business ventures, Jenner admitted she was nervous about acting in a scripted movie scene. She shared that she felt more comfortable behind the camera than performing in front of a live audience and that she worried about doing something she had not done before. To prepare, she practised with friends and family instead of hiring a formal acting coach, saying this gave her confidence for her brief appearance.

Jenner also joked about her role, clarifying that the exaggerated version of her personality seen in the movie is not how she perceives herself in real life. After her first take she said she began to feel more at ease and confident with the experience. Her scene may be short, but it marks a notable milestone as her acting debut in a major film production.

The Moment is a film produced and led creatively by Charli XCX that satirises fame and industry pressures. Kylie’s involvement adds a familiar face from popular culture to the cast, highlighting a blend of entertainment worlds in the project’s storytelling.
