Marcello Hernández Says He’s Not Dating Sabrina Carpenter and Confirms His Relationship

 

Marcello Hernández has finally responded to the recent rumours linking him romantically to singer‑actress Sabrina Carpenter saying the speculation isn’t true and that they are just friends.

The Saturday Night Live actor appeared on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast and was asked directly about the dating chatter that began after he appeared at one of Carpenter’s concerts and shared scenes with her on SNL.

Hernández laughed off the idea of dating Carpenter and made it clear he’s currently in a committed relationship with his girlfriend Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral whom he has been seeing since at least early 2025. He described Cabral as an “unreal” Dominican architect and Yale graduate while praising Carpenter as “awesome,” “funny,” and “cool” but strictly a friend.

Rumours first swirled because Carpenter joined Hernández on a viral SNL sketch and later “arrested” him playfully as part of her Short n’ Sweet concert tour stop in Los Angeles — moments that fuelled fan speculation online
