Miley Cyrus To Celebrate Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary With Disney+ Special
Miley Cyrus is returning to her roots with a special television event marking the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana, the hit Disney Channel show that launched her to global fame. Disney+ has announced that the “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” will premiere on March 24, 2026, exactly two decades after the series first debuted in 2006.
The event will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and will feature an exclusive, in-depth interview with Cyrus, hosted by Alex Cooper, the creator and host of the Call Her Daddy podcast. During the conversation, Cyrus will revisit the creation of one of pop culture’s most iconic characters and discuss the show’s legacy and the impact it has had on fans around the world.
Disney says the special will include never-before-seen archival footage and recreations of memorable sets from the original series, including the Stewart family living room and Hannah Montana’s famous closet. There are also hints that familiar music from the show may make a return in some form.
In a statement, Cyrus said that Hannah Montana “will always be a part of who I am” and that the anniversary special is her way of celebrating the fans who have supported her for 20 years. She expressed pride in the way the show shaped both her life and the lives of audiences around the world.
The special will stream on Disney+, and ahead of its March 24 release, the full Hannah Montana collection — including all four seasons, Hannah Montana: The Movie, and Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds Concert — will be made available for streaming.
