Nicole Kidman sparks romance rumours with unexpected blast from past

Is Nicole Kidman on a mission to find love in a familiar face again?

Nicole Kidman is reportedly reconnecting with her former fiancé Lenny Kravitz more than two decades after their whirlwind engagement, as she enters what friends are calling her “revenge romance era” following her recent split from Keith Urban.

The 58-year-old Oscar winner filed for divorce from Urban, 57, last month after nearly 20 years of marriage. The couple, who wed in Sydney in 2006, share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

While the breakup has been emotionally challenging, sources close to Kidman say she’s focused on rediscovering herself—and possibly reigniting her past romance with Kravitz.

“Nicole and Lenny go way back. What they had was real love, and that connection between them has never really faded,” a friend shared.

The pair originally met in 2003 when Kidman rented Kravitz’s Manhattan apartment. Their relationship quickly grew serious, with Kidman later revealing they were secretly engaged.

“I was engaged to her father,” she said in reference to Zoë Kravitz, her Big Little Lies co-star. “It’s all in the family! I love Lenny, he’s a great guy.”

Their breakup was reportedly due to differing life stages—Kravitz was immersed in his music career, while Kidman was seeking stability. Now, both stars are single, family-focused, and more settled.

“He’s been open about wanting to find his soulmate,” a source said. “Maybe this is the right moment for them.”

The Family Affair star is also planning a fresh start, having applied for residency in Portugal with plans to relocate to Lisbon—closer to Kravitz’s European base. “Nicole’s in a strong place now,” said a close friend.

“She wants to embrace life again—and Lenny embodies that energy.” Those close to Kravitz agree, noting, “He’s always had a soft spot for Nicole. A second chance wouldn’t surprise anyone.”
