Oasis heads to South America after wrapping up Australian tour
Oasis bid an unforgettable farewell to Australian fans on the last show of their five-night run in the region.
On Saturday, November 8, Oasis rocked down under one last before heading to South America.
With over 320,000 fans attending across five stadium shows the British rock legends played three sold-out nights at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium and two shows at Accor Stadium in Sydney.
“Thanks for putting up with us. We know we were d***kheads sometimes,” Liam Gallagher told the Sydney crowd. “Your support has put us back on the map. Respect! You’ve got a lovely f***king country. See you again.”
Despite facing some issues in the opening show and unfortunate incidents, including a fan launching flares into the crowd, the tour’s reception has been overwhelmingly positive.
Moreover, a rare phenomenon was experienced during the reunion tour in Melbourne. Seismic sensors at the Seismology Research Centre reportedly picked up tremors during the band’s performances, caused by thousands of fans stomping and singing in unison.
Following the completion of their nostalgic gig, Oasis is now gearing up to take South America stages as they have scheduled shows in Argentina, Brazil and Chile.
